Twelve-hour slow cooked British beef steak, red wine and a creamy stilton sauce, encased in shortcrust pastry with a puff pastry lid.

Served cold, this pie can be stored in the fridge for up to three days. To cook: preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6, place pie on a baking tray and pop in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the pastry is golden.

Keep refrigerated below 5°C.

Bigger and more fulsome than your average pie, Lowsonford Pies are roughly 260gms each.

For the pastry - Flour (wheat), vegetable oils and fats (palm), butter, water, salt, emulsifier (E471), egg.

May contain traces of soybeans, sesame seeds, hazelnuts, almonds, pecan nuts.

For the filling – British beef (29%), onion, carrot, double cream, red wine, stilton (milk) (7%), cornflour, butter, garlic, mixed herbs, rosemary, English mustard, tomato paste, egg.
